Hello!
I’m Lone. Pronounced Lo-na.
Seeds of Health Acupuncture is my independent general practice within Mountview Massage and Wellness Clinic. Chinese Medicine is at the root of all diagnoses and informs the treatments I offer - acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, moxibustion, and food as medicine prescriptions. I treat women, men, and children of all ages and diverse identities. When needed, I make home visits.
I’ve been a Registered Acupuncturist since 2008 when I graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I also hold a BSC in Psychology. Since then, I have studied Pregnancy Acupuncture with Debra Betts, Classical Chinese Medicine with Sharon Weizenbaum, and Japanese Acupuncture with Kiiko Matsumoto. I continue to learn and deepen my understanding and skills.
I’m here to help.
Gaining awareness and insight into who we are as human beings and the nature of our dis-ease (whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual) opens opportunities to transform how we are, how we think, how we feel and how we find our place within ourselves, our close relationships, in our community and in the bigger world. In my work, I support the arising of awareness and insight, and recovery out of dis-ease through how I listen to and talk with my clients using the lenses of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture treatment.
I acknowledge the traditional and ancestral unceded lands of the Coast Salish Hul’q’umi’num’ speaking peoples, the Snaw-naw-as, the Snuneymuxw and the Stz’uminus peoples, on which I am living and practicing Chinese Medicine. As a visitor and immigrant child of Indian-West African Guyanese and Danish parents and ancestors, I live and practice with respect for the land I am on today. I am dedicated and committed to listening, learning the truth and deepening my understanding of these communities in their past, present and future.
